Entry fee is €120 for a team of 4. Re-entry for a member of a team who has already played is €20
Official WHS Handicap Index will apply. Ladies and men will play off their course handicap. Check sheets posted in the foyer.
The committee has decided to have an upper limit on handicaps, Men 24 and Ladies 40. Players who do not have a Golf Ireland handicap will be given a handicap of 18. Players who currently do not have a Golf Ireland handicap but held a handicap in the last 2 years will play off that handicap if it is lower than 18 otherwise they will play off 18.

Scoring Format – 18 Hole Stableford
- 2 best scores to count on all par 4s / 5s
- 3 best scores to count on all par 3s
- All player’s scores count on the 18th Hole
- All players will play their own ball from start to finish on each hole.

About the Course
Mountbellew Golf Club is a mature 18-hole parkland course that’s open to visitors seven days a week. Off the white tees it measures just 5,644 yards, but don’t be fooled – you’ll need to think your way around it. Position is everything here. Keep it in play and you’ll be rewarded with short irons into greens, but take on too much and the course will bite back.
The layout keeps things interesting from start to finish. The front nine features a tough mix of par 3s and tight par 4s that can test even low handicappers, while the back nine opens up a little with scoring chances on the par 5s. It’s the perfect balance of challenge and fun, the kind of course you walk off smiling, already planning your next round.
Afterwards, stop into the clubhouse for a chat with members and a well-earned pint. The Guinness here is as good as the golf!
Visitors are always welcome. Green fees are just €25, and society bookings can enjoy special group rates.
