The following are the results from the Wednesday Seniors on 12th July.

Winners: Jack O’Shea, Tom Lally, Bernadette Jordan; 2nd: Iggy O’Brien, Tom Conneely, Evelyn Clarke; 3rd: Jim Bowe, Benny Jennings, Joe Clarke, Simon Davis.
The First Leg of the Connacht Seniors’ (Over 55) Final between Mountbellew and Oughterard took place on Wednesday 12th July. Mountbellew now travel to Oughterard on Wednesday 19th where they hope to build on their very good home performance which has them leading with a 3 and 2 scoreline. The Club wishes the team the very best of luck in Oughterard.

Great news also for the Ladies Minor Cup team which beat Bearna Golf Club, and are now through to the Connacht Final on September 3rd in Ballinrobe Golf Club.
On Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July the Open Ladies and Open Men’s Stableford competitions were both sponsored by PROGOLF from Athlone. Men’s Competition winner: Johnny costello (21) 43pts, 2nd: Noel T. Higgins (14) 42pts, Gross: Peter Morrow (6) 33pts, 3rd: Darragh Nolan (14) 42pts, 4th: Adam Challoner (11) 42pts. Ladies competition winner: Deirdre Donnellan (26) 42pts, 2nd: Mary Dolan (31) 38pts, Gross: Chrissie Hogan (14) 21pts, 3rd: Caroline Delaney (21) 37pts. The Friday Open results from 14th July are as follows. Men’s Winner: Peter Morrow 6. 38pts, 2nd: Adam Challoner 11. 37pts, Gross: Gerry T. Flaherty 8. 28pts.
